Raw Energy Dance Education (REDed) is Australia’s leading dance resource for teachers, schools and parents. We deliver curriculum aligned and extra-curricular dance programs in schools across Australia. Our focus is on the students’ dance journey; we use movement to challenge, inspire and motivate young people to get active and have fun!
Our mission: “Turning the lights on in little people to become AWESOME big people”.
"The REDed program is such an engaging program. I watch the kids, they are all smiling and happy - all participating at the same time. I don’t see any child want to sit down, they are thoroughly engaged."
Richard LaceyHead of Sports at St Pius X College
“The quality of the dance, choreography and instruction has been excellent. The whole P.E. Department has been blown away by the quality of the work the boys have been able to produce as a result of the REDed sessions.”
Nikki ChapmanParent at Kincoppal-Rose Bay
“Your organisation, communication and execution of your classes with the highest quality of teachers and standards is outstanding. Thank you for not only making dance fun for the students, but for making it easy on the parents.”
Grace LazzeriParent at Lindfield Public School
"Thank you for exposing the dancers to these different performances and opportunities. They are not only learning about dancing here, they are gaining self confidence, they are learning how to work as part of a team and they are learning to respect and love their bodies more."
Jane LavisParent at Queenwood School for Girls (Senior)
“The level of teaching, especially with your focus on technique, shines through when you see the girls perform. They are very lucky to have someone who not only has a gift for incredible choreography, but also explains to the girls the inspiration and the history/story behind each dance.”
Stephanie McConnellPrincipal at Lindfield Learning Village
"It is so great to work with a company who cares so much for young people and is so aligned with our school's vision."
Dan SlaterClass Teacher at Wheelers Hill Primary School
“I’m fine with ‘movement’ activity but fully choreographed dances require REDed."
Amanda TasovskiAssistant Principal at Gordon West Public School
“The kids loved the dance and I loved doing it with them. I love teaching dance but it was a nice break to not have to think about choreography. I will definitely be purchasing more.”
The integration of a First Nations Lens throughout our programs provides students and teachers with the opportunity to access individual and personal connections to the self, community and country through movement-based storytelling.

Now that the 2024 Competition Season has come to an end, here are some snapshots that capture the thrilling experience of competing and performing with your friends.
For some dancers it was their very first time on stage and for others, it was a season filled with growth and enhancement of their performance abilities.🤍
A big Happy Father`s Day to all our dedicated REDed Dads and father figures. 🌟
Our dancers greatly appreciate your unwavering contributions, early morning drop offs and loud cheers at competitions. Thank you for being the shining stars you are!
Celebrating 25 years of incredible vision to grow a dance education company that is one of the most respected and sought after in the industry.
We could share so much from these 25 years but for today we are choosing to spotlight our founder, Dale Pope in this pic from the early days (2001). She is about to deliver the St Ives Preparatory Dance Night Disco to 350 boys, as their finale to their 4 week REDed curriculum dance contract. Fresh faced, mid twenties and shining the light REDed is known for. 🌟
The competition season for our REDed dancers is approaching conclusion and we are so proud of the tremendous development, and confidence built on stage, visible in each and every dancer. 🤍
Swipe to see one of our dance parent`s reflections following the thrilling @evolutiondancecomp on the weekend.
At the beginning of Term 2 we launched our Year 10 Curricular Program at MLC School @mlcschoolnsw. The students were taught a REDed routine in the focus style of Hip-Hop.
They then used this as inspiration to further create, explore, and choreograph their own routines using the Elements of Dance.
This resulted in the creation of highly successful student compositions, in line with the NSW Syllabus.👏🏼 ✅
The connections and friendships that dancers make as part of their dance journey are extremely special.
From weekly rehearsals to competitions, performances, and concert days, these bonds are strengthened through the dancer`s shared passion for dance, and last well beyond the time spent in the studio. @queenwoodschool ✨...
We hope that all of our dancers had a wonderful school holiday break and are ready for a thrillingly twirly, energetic, and passion-filled term of dance!🕺
For #throwbackthursday we are flashing back to sometime around 2000 (long before we documented things)! Head REDed Dale is on the ground instructing, building and growing REDed in its very early days.
As you can see from REDed`s history, we are practically the OG`s of Curriculum Dance delivery. 💁🏼♀️...
The theme for NAIDOC Week this year, which came to an end yesterday (7-14 July), is "Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud". REDed is proud to collaborate with and work alongside @bangarradancetheatre to create our First Nations Lens Curricular program.
REDed deeply values this relationship that allows us to contribute to opening the minds of little people through stories, movement and dance, to recognise the cultural heritage that enriches our nation.
The end of Semester 1 at @lindfieldlearningvillage was celebrated by fantastic performances at the Dance Enhance Winter Showcase. The joyous afternoon saw dancers showcase their development in Terms 1 and 2 for friends and family, which received incredible support and celebration from the audience.
REDed has collaborated with the fabulous sports team and students of St Pius X College since 2010. With such a healthy and strong relationship, we love that the school collectively celebrates the dance achievements of their Year 5 and 6 students in a positive and active way. Photos by @spxchatswood
Our REDed instructors make sure that the dancers feel prepared both mentally and physically before a performance, to allow them to perform at their best.
Here is our fantastic Senior REDed Instructor Shelley sharing her words of wisdom with some of our Senior Troupes @sydeisteddfod secondary competition last Saturday.
All REDed Instructors that attended @extremedancecomp last Sunday had an amazing time supporting, preparing, and witnessing the joy that shone from each dancer on stage.
